Everyone has been wondering what is next for our family. When we came to Cali it was supposed to be only for a year. That year, unbelievably, is almost up and now we are looking ahead at where our family is going to be next. Just in time for the summer heat, Brian told me today that he was offered a District Manager position in.....
Phoenix, Arizona!!
The kids are pretty excited. We have had this up in the air for so long, it's actually a big relief to know. We are hoping to settle there for a while. It is sad to leave this amazing climate with all the trees and flowers, but I'm sure we'll get used to cactus and scorpions and record-breaking heat. The best part is that we'll likely be able to buy a home and feel really settled. One thing we have learned in all this is that home is where the family is. We can live anywhere as long as we are together.

very true, family is where it's at. I'm happy for you. I don't envy the hot climate you will go to but the area is were you and your family are supposed to be. God is truly over 'All Things'
love ya,
Annie
YEAH! So excited for your family. We've had friends stationed at Yuma and they have all loved it there. One of my favorite Mom bloggers lives down there and it looks lovely year round weather wise. www.71toes.blogspot.com
We'll have to come down and visit to get away from the rain!
Do you know your moving dates yet?
Brook
I completely agree. Home is a state of mind. I remember when we were living in your basement for those few months, you told me a story about how there was a family who were living in someone else's home, and someone was saying how sorry they felt for the fact that they didn't have a home. And the little boy said, "We have a home, just not a house to put it in."
Plus AZ may be hot, but it also is a new climate to study for school! Plus, I mentioned to Mom that an excellent halfway point between the Wasatch Front family members and you guys was Lake Powell! That needs to be a must for a future Knucklehead Reunion!
I'm thinking Knucklehead Reunion Fall 2010 at Lake Powell. Any takers?
I grew up in AZ. I LOVED it there! I am super excited for you! Wow, I had no idea that another move was in the works for you. My brother lives in Mesa. Good luck and I think that you'll love it... just make sure that you at least get a LARGE kiddie pool to live in during the summer. So, so, so excited for you!
Congrats! We've enjoyed our first week in Moab. It's a lot warmer than Idaho. We'll have to get together now that we both live in the "southwest!
WOW!!! That makes me want to move back even more!! We've tossed the idea of moving back around as we both dislike the East Coast (I know, shocking given my lifetime mantra of want to get back East. Right now the housing market isn't strong enough to sell our home, but we're hoping that sooner than later. When are you moving? We'll be in AZ for about a month in Aug. I would LOVE to see you!!
